I am Akshet. I like building things that move, think and occasionally break in interesting ways. Most of my work sits somewhere between robots, controls, software and the occasional problem that refuses to behave. A few things I have ended up working on: • Building control and software systems for energy systems • Programming Siemens PLCs and working with industrial automation • Working with quadruped robots and ROS • Building an underwater ROV system around DVL data and seabed mapping • Developing a VR simulator for medical training • Working on IoT systems, computer vision and machine learning I completed an MSc in Robotics and Computation at UCL after studying Mechatronics Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur. Somehow, this has also taken me to robotics projects in Singapore and Canada, from underwater robotics to AR/VR. I have co-authored 13+ research papers and two book chapters along the way. These days I work across controls and software. I am particularly interested in robotics, automation and the messy bit where theory meets hardware. I like building things, figuring out why they do not work, and then making them work. Always happy to talk robots, controls, strange engineering problems or whatever else is currently broken.
