Why your next big opportunity is on LinkedIn
Clients, jobs, partners and an audience all in one place, and more of them every year.
Built for work
LinkedIn is where people go to get work done
Other networks compete for your downtime. People open LinkedIn to get better at their job, find the next one and decide what to buy. LinkedIn says 4 out of 5 members use it to inform business decisions, and Microsoft’s chief executive calls it the leading B2B sales and advertising channel for businesses large and small.
Share of US adults who use LinkedIn, by education
The biggest education gap Pew measures on any platform. Overall, 32% of US adults use LinkedIn, double the 16% of 2012.

Reach
Your post can travel well beyond your network
LinkedIn’s feed shows people posts from “authors you don’t follow” and from “professionals you’ve never connected with before”, ranking millions of posts for more than 1.3 billion professionals. A strong post or comment can reach people who have never heard of you.
Content
LinkedIn rewards people who share what they know
People are spending more time reading and watching, and the number of creators on LinkedIn doubled between 2021 and 2025. There is more attention to earn than ever.

B2B
LinkedIn is where B2B buyers make up their minds
Many of the people who sign off a purchase never speak to a salesperson. They form their view from what they read, and much of that is on LinkedIn.
Hidden buyers are the people in finance, legal, procurement and similar roles who shape a purchase without talking to sales.
B2B marketers who say each platform gives the best value
A survey of 980 B2B marketers. A year later, 76% named LinkedIn one of their three most effective channels for thought leadership.
Careers
LinkedIn is where careers move forward
Growth
LinkedIn keeps growing, and so does its audience
Revenue grew 11% in Microsoft’s 2026 financial year, across every part of the business. Advertising grew 16% in the latest quarter, its seventh double-digit quarter in a row, and Premium subscriptions passed $2 billion a year. Businesses are spending more to reach the people on LinkedIn.
