Vaibhav Domkundwar

About

Vaibhav Domkundwar is the Founder & CEO of Better Capital, one of India’s most influential early-stage investment platforms, known for being the first high-conviction investor behind category-defining companies across sectors. Better Capital has backed multiple unicorns and 20+ soonicorns, with early investments across the full breadth of India’s startup economy: Slice and M2P in financial services, Kutumb and Eloelo in consumer tech, Toddle and Smallest in AI and software, SolarSquare and Varaha in sustainability, Even and Inito in healthcare, Eeki and Vegrow in agritech, Cradlewise and Beco in consumer brands, Stan and FanCraze in gaming, and Origin in robotics. Across 200+ founder partnerships, Better has built a reputation for spotting exceptional founders before the market consensus forms, backing them with conviction, and staying deeply engaged through the messy, decisive stages of company-building. Beyond capital, Vaibhav is known for his high-trust partnership model, combining candid strategic support with the empathy of a former entrepreneur. A 3X entrepreneur, Vaibhav previously built and scaled Roamware, an enterprise software company, and Better Labs, a startup studio. This operator background shapes Better’s founder-first model: high trust, deep context, and practical support from zero to scale. He is a trusted voice in India’s innovation ecosystem, frequently featured in CNBC, Forbes, Economic Times, and more. In 2021, he received the IVCA Inclusive India Award for his work supporting inclusive entrepreneurship. Vaibhav holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and COEP, and splits his time between Silicon Valley and India, bridging two of the world’s most important startup ecosystems.
