Clover Hogan is a climate activist and the Founder of Force of Nature - the youth non-profit turning climate anxiety into action. She has worked alongside the world’s leading authorities on sustainability, consulted within the boardrooms of Fortune 50 companies, and counselled heads of state. Clover has taken the stage with global change-makers such as Jane Goodall and Vandana Shiva, and interviewed the 14th Dalai Lama. Her TED talk, 'What to do when climate change feels unstoppable', has been viewed 2 million times. At 22 she was recognised on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, and has featured in outlets including The Guardian, the BBC, the New York Times, the FT, and Vogue. She is also a recipient of the Diana Award. At 19, Clover founded Force of Nature to help young people take action on the climate crisis. Since then, she and the team have: 🌎 Led global research on climate and mental health, with partners such as Imperial College and the Wellcome Trust, including the largest ever study into youth mental health and climate (surveying 10,000 young in 10 countries). 🌎 Developed ‘Becoming a Force of Nature’, a flagship programme consisting of three workshops (Anxiety to Agency, Discovery, and Catalyst), which helps young people navigate their climate emotions, get clear on their ‘why’ and explore climate solutions. Delivered to 10,000+ participants. 🌎 Developed skills-based training pathways (Speaker, Facilitator and Consultant) to help young people cultivate the confidence and skills to take action. Graduates have gone on to apply their skills within education, business and policy - with Force of Nature linking them to paid opportunities, employment and further learning via partner organisations. Delivered to 1000+ participants. 🌎 Digitised all training content and launched an online platform in a bid to decentralise programme delivery, scale impact, and connect global activists. 2000+ members. 🌎 In tandem with COP27, launched ‘climate cafés’: a global campaign to help young people organise within their communities, and take collective action. To-date, there have been 1114 climate cafés hosted in 80+ countries. 🌎 Over a 5-year period, Clover led the organisation’s fundraising efforts and raised £799k, averaging a 115% year-on-year growth rate. In June 2024, she facilitated a successful handover of leadership; stepping down as Executive Director, to pursue other projects. She continues to serve as an advisor and chair of the board.
