My two professional passions are investing and AI.The highest highs of my career came from being right on an investment. Rolling up my sleeves. Long days and late nights researching. Having the intestinal fortitude to bet against the crowd at times. Being right and rewarded for it. Nothing matches this feeling.In December 2025, I set out to see how far one person could push it. I started building an AI-native investment operation from scratch. Research, trading, risk, data, knowledge management, and decision support, all rebuilt around agents, workflows, and models. The last six months taught me what was real and what was hype across generative AI, agentic coding, RAG, skills, and MCP tools. It also taught me something I did not expect. The hard part was never building another agent. The hard part was preserving what the agents, the workflows, and I were learning every day. Without that, the expertise just evaporates. Or worse, it leaks into models your competitors use too.That problem has a name. Institutional Memory. Capturing a firm's judgment, research, and decisions and turning them into intelligence the firm owns and compounds.
