I am a lawyer and the CEO of YLaw - the largest female-led law firm in Canada, and the Split - the first App in the world that calculates default rights at separation for free. I am also the mother of 3 kids including twins which I find the most challenging and joyous job of all. I talk about running a mid-size business, lawyering and all things to do with being a working parent. My purpose is to make things better.YLaw is one of the first firms in the country to implement pay transparency, living wage, first trimester leave, holiday swaps, and prioritizin all sorts of non mainstream people at the workplace.In 2024 and to make Access to Justice better, we launched the first software of its kind in the world that calculates asset & debt division in addition to child and spousal support for separating spouses completely free and based on the law: the Split. I have also been honoured to appear before the BC Court of Appeal before my first year of call, and have won over 90% of my cases from 2014 to present.I broke out on my own in 2013 after practicing as a lawyer for 2 years, and established YLaw.In 2017, we expanded to our Vancouver location, later to Langley, in 2022 we opened 2 more offices in Vancouver and in 2024 we opened our Chilliwack office. In 2025, we expanded into our 8000 SQF flagship office in Yaletown. I have been lucky to be published on numerous press and publications such as the CBC, the Globe and Mail, Maclean's, Canadian Business, Vancouver Sun, the National, Global News, Lawyers Daily, Canadian Lawyer, 604Now, Canlli, etc.My content may be raw and controversial.
