About
I am a child labor survivor and a refugee from South Sudan whose family has experienced forced migration for three generations. War denied my siblings, my mother, and me access to education and repeatedly disrupted our schooling. These experiences inspired me to found Community Empowerment for Creative Innovation (CECI Uganda) in May 2017, a refugee-led organization promoting peaceful coexistence and self-reliance in refugee and host communities. Through CECI, we have supported 205,470 youth, women, and children in preventing violent conflict, rebuilding livelihoods, accessing education, adopting clean energy, and strengthening their participation and resilience.
