Hey, I’m Paddy - a journalist that is focussed on issues, solutions and positivity. I’ve spent over 25 years reporting on issues of national and international significance - covering stories across New Zealand and around the world in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, on the US campaign trail and at the Queen’s funeral. I am the host of current affairs show "Paddy Gower has Issues" (returning in 2026!). I am also currently “doing Stuff” on Stuff.co.nz, journalism on stuff that matters. I am author of the book “This Is The F#$%ing News” about my life. I am a public speaker with my message of “Connection-Optimism-Purpose-Change”. (Having overcome my own addiction and mental health issues.) And I’m a documentary-maker, having made 10 docos in the “Patrick Gower: On…” series. But wait, there’s more!
