Accountability is a reoccurring theme in my life. I began taking on responsibility during my time as a professional football player, then as a founder of my foundation and later as an entrepreneur and CEO of Philipp Lahm Holding. For me, responsibility means sharing the positive experiences I have gained in my career as a top athlete. The Foundation is an expression of my social commitment and the holding is the consistent continuation of this idea in the economic direction. Three topics stand in the center: education, sports and health. They shape both the goals of the foundation and the holding company. It goes without saying that these goals can only be achieved with a strong team and focused, responsible partners: I have come to understand this as a professional athlete and as a former captain of both FC Bayern and the German national football team. I know what it means to succeed and lead a strong, motivated unit. Gaining experience, drawing the right conclusions, strengthening the team, motivating individuals to never lose sight of the overall success: These are the challenges that my holding must face, and is only possible through a strong team, through a persistent sense of community and instinct for entrepreneurial business. Much of what I have learned as a top athlete will also be useful to me as a shareholder. Many new experiences are waiting for me. I am confident that I can solve them responsibly. The exchange on this platform will be an exciting part of this process.
