As a current Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, I am dedicated to fueling India's economic momentum through a robust, transparent, and analytical fiscal administration. My career is defined by transforming complex governmental systems into data-driven engines of growth.A significant chapter of my journey was served as Joint Secretary at DPIIT (Ministry of Commerce). During this tenure, I led the flagship Startup India initiative, nurturing the national ecosystem toward global standards and fostering innovation-led entrepreneurship. Building on this momentum, I was at the forefront of the 'Make in India' movement, driving industrial productivity by promoting manufacturing and framing Quality Control Orders (QCOs) across critical sectors like Light Engineering, Consumer Goods, Cement, and Rubber—making Indian manufacturing more globally competitive and self-reliant.Beyond manufacturing, I have actively participated in democratizing India’s digital landscape. As a Board Member of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and through the Nirmit Bharat initiative, I worked to create an inclusive e-commerce ecosystem. By launching the DigiHaat app, we successfully empowered thousands of small retailers, artisans, and farmers, ensuring that digital commerce is accessible to every corner of "Bharat."Earlier in my career, I spearheaded the digital transformation of the State Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (SDRI) in Rajasthan. By integrating advanced data analytics into enforcement, we established new benchmarks for tax compliance and efficiency.
