About
I'm the Founder & Managing Partner at Trust Fund, an early-stage venture fund backing software companies that help people and teams start, manage, and scale businesses. Our founders are killers building painkillers. Our LPs include Marc Andreessen, Jason Calacanis, David Sacks, Jeremy Liew, Andrew Chen, Chris Dixon, Jeff Jordan, Ev Williams, Paris Hilton, and Phil Hellmuth. Previously wrote an 18-week New York Times Bestseller, #GIRLBOSS, which was adapted into a scripted Netflix series that premiered on Netflix, produced by Charlize Theron. Started fashion e-tailer Nasty Gal at 22 years old and bootstrapped it to $30 million profitably, raised $60 million from Index Ventures and Thrive Capital, then scaled it to over $100 million in revenue. Went on the victory lap and was featured on the cover of Forbes magazine's 2016 America's Richest Self-Made Women issue (returned the dress I wore in the photo) and featured in the Fortune 40 under 40, Forbes 30 under 30, Inc. 30 under 30, and Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business lists. My interests include drinking coffee on an empty stomach, choosing the best seats on commercial aircraft, and harvesting my hard-won experience for the next generation of founders.
