Writing has earned me 4x LinkedIn Top Voice accolades, recognition as LinkedIn’s No.1 Management Writer in 2017, and a following of circa 300,000 on the platform. Now, I’m taking that voice in a new creative direction—as a screenwriter and creator of original HETV drama and comedy.My writing explores human behaviour, relationships, power and the complicated choices people make under pressure. I’m drawn to distinctive characters and stories that combine sharp humour with emotional depth—where laughter, discomfort and heartbreak can share the same scene.Before this new chapter, I spent more than 20 years in global media leadership, including as CEO of OMD Asia Pacific. During my tenure, I helped grow the business to more than US$5.5 billion in billings and led teams recognised with over 1,000 industry awards, including Cannes Lions Agency of the Year and Festival of Media Asia honours.I held senior leadership roles across Mindshare, OMD and IPG Mediabrands, working with global brands including Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Renault, Visa and many more. That career gave me an understanding of audiences, the commercial demands of creative work and the forces shaping contemporary life. It also offered a wealth of insight into people—their ambitions, contradictions and the stories they tell themselves.My focus now is turning those observations into compelling television: original drama and comedy with something to say and characters worth caring about.I also write and produce music under the name Blakes.
