He also co-chairs the newly launched AI Ethics Council with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, shaping responsible technology governance for underserved communities. Bryant is the founder of multiple successful enterprises including The Promise Homes Company—one of the largest for-profit, single-family residential rental owners of color in America. A bestselling author of six books on economic empowerment including Up From Nothing, How the Poor Can Save Capitalism and Financial Literacy for All, his latest efforts focus on rebuilding the American middle class by “Raising the Third” — uplifting the bottom third of Americans into the economic mainstream.
