hey, I'm olivia 👋 I teach marketers and brands how to be worth following, through content, community and trustI've been building online since I was 13, when I started a beauty and lifestyle blog after school (with a side of feminism... the irony isn't lost on me lol). my biggest fan was my grandad (he still is). he texts me after every Substack post I publish 💙I had absolutely no idea where that blog would lead...after uni, while I was working in marketing, I started Girls in Marketing. it's now a community, learning platform and media brand with 500,000+ followers across social, and we grew it from NOTHING, organically.which matters more than ever right now...because we're in a trust recession. people are exhausted by ads, sceptical of brands and drowning in ai-generated content. they don't trust campaigns anymore... they trust people and the communities around them.the brands winning right now aren't the loudest or the ones with the biggest budgets. they're the ones people actually trust.that's what I do, and what I talk about on stage:→ organic growth through content, community, creators and conversation→ building a brand people genuinely want to follow→ ai in marketing (and making sure it doesn't become another boys' club 👀)over the last 7 years I've trained 30,000+ marketers, spoken at TEDx, been named in forbes 30 under 30, and worked with brands like adobe, kérastase (l'oréal group), hotels.com, semrush and the department for education.but honestly I'm just a generalist at heart and I love it. I have my fingers in a lot of pies, but the thread through all of them is simple: the internet is still my favourite place to build something.
