About

US Citizen. Still an immigrant, working for immigrants.I came here on a student visa from a village in Karnataka, knowing nobody. Ten years later I took the oath. Everything in between is why I do what I do now.I spent those years building self-driving cars at Tesla, Lyft, and Nuro. Good work at good companies, and the whole time my right to stay in this country was attached to a job, a lottery, and a queue that moved whenever it felt like moving.I sat down and built my own EB-1A petition from scratch. Documented the work. Wrote the case myself. Got approved. That approval changed the math on my entire life. It also made something obvious to me. Most people never look at this route at all, because they've already decided that extraordinary ability describes someone other than them. They're wrong more often than they know.So I built Smart Immigrant. We work with students, engineers, researchers, and founders on EB-1A and O-1A alongside trusted immigration attorneys, and we've helped more than 1,000 people through it. What you get from us is a straight read on where your profile stands and what it would take to file. When the answer is that you should spend another year building first, we tell you that too. It's the least popular thing we do and the only part that saves people money.Along the way I've built other things, including resumepuppy.com, which helps job seekers write better resumes without touching a line of code. What I tell everyone who reaches out is the same. Your case doesn't need to be perfect. It needs to be real, and it needs someone who knows how to present it.When I'm not working you'll find me building DIY gadgets, traveling, or figuring out what's next.DMs are always open.
