I’m on a mission to build cool retail brands that proudly tell untold African stories through products, services, ecosystems, and sustainable value chains. Born and raised in the township, I started my entrepreneurial journey young selling fragrances on the streets of Alexandra before building a foundation as an accounting and finance professional. That mix of hustle and business discipline led me into entrepreneurship full-time. Ten years ago, I founded Bathu with one clear vision: to build Africa’s premium sneaker brand. Since then, we’ve created 500+ jobs and grown a nationwide footprint, guided by a simple mission—reignite hope and create sustainable employment. Today, I’m building a dynamic retail group through Bathu Group and our corporate venture capital arm—scaling our footwear business globally while partnering with and investing in brands that align with our purpose.
